¶àÈËȺ½» has been a consistent leader in Southeast’s growing number of Design-Build projects. As an experienced contractor with deep engineering roots in the Southeast, ¶àÈËȺ½» excels in taking the higher level of control and responsibility that the Design-Build model requires. By involving our engineers more deeply in the early stages of the design process, ¶àÈËȺ½» is better able to deliver quality solutions to complex issues that accompany all heavy construction projects. We use the increased creative control of the Design-Build model to engineer unique, one-of-a-kind projects that make our local communities and cities desirable—at greater cost efficiency to clients including the DOT, meaning greater tax payer value.

In the past several decades, ¶àÈËȺ½» has completed numerous successful Design-Build projects across the Carolinas—including the Winston-Salem Gateway Arch project, which was awarded the Carolina AGC Pinnacle Award, and the ACEC Engineering Excellence Award.

¶àÈËȺ½» is also responsible for the I-485 Charlotte Outer Loop project, one of North Carolina’s largest NCDOT Design-Build projects, which won the ACEC award in 2016. In 2015, ¶àÈËȺ½» was awarded a $187 million contract for the I-85 Cabarrus and Rowan County Expansion project, a Design-Build project scheduled for completion in 2020. In both cases, ¶àÈËȺ½» worked with local engineering contractors to develop cost-efficient and innovative plans for maximum value

¶àÈËȺ½», Inc. has also earned an outstanding reputation for collaborative building through multiple Joint-Venture contracts. Our teams are currently involved in JV partnerships on two major Design-Build projects: the I-85 Widening project in Gaffney, SC, and the I-540 project in Raleigh, NC.
